Believe it or not, I just completed the editing of nearly 2000 pictures from our 20 day cruise, over 250 from our trip with Frank. This is why many emails have gone unanswered. I wanted to personally thank you for the professional service you provided and most particularly the efficient yet relaxed day we spent with Frank. I don't know how much the "day before elections" meant to auto and foot traffic, but we moved smoothly and swiftly from one site to another. Frank helped to minimize walking as he knew I had a knee problem and managed everything so that we never spent much time standing in the rain waiting for tickets or entrance. I cannot say enough about our day in your beautiful city...we have already recommended you to several of our friends who are planning trips in the spring.

I wanted to email you anyway, and tell you that both your drivers that we had in Athens on Oct. 10 and Oct. 11th, were wonderful! Jimmy picked us up at the airport and the drive to our hotel was fun and informative, thanks to him. He and my husband had a great chat about football (or soccer, as we say!). Since it was a few days before elections, the roads were busy. Returning to Athens many main roads were closed or had come to a stop because of traffic. Jimmy was a wealth of knowledge regarding the history of all the places and such an expert at getting around on those narrow streets. Truly, it didn't matter that the pork wasn't wrapped in the pita as we had expected - it was very very good. We experienced some weather problems aboard ship during our return to Barcelona which resulted in missed flights, an extra night in Barcelona, and not getting home until last night. I had intended to write to you sooner indicating our 100% satisfaction with the service Jim gave us on our tour of AThens, but we both had jet lag bad and also got colds, not to forget all the unpacking we had to do. We were pleased with all Jim showed us, but the knowledge that he gave us of what we were about to see, made the biggest difference. We loved that he didn't put us on a deadline, but let us do it at our pace and we for the most part, took his recommended timeline and it worked perfectly. I just wanted to follow up with you regarding our tour of Athens on August 30, 2009. I must tell you our driver, Tom, did a FANTASTIC job! We could not have been more pleased. Tom made our day in Athens one we will never forget. Everything was seamless. Tom picked us up on time at the port which allowed us to spend time at the Acropolis in the morning before the crowds and heat consumed us. We visited all of the sites in Athens, including the New Acropolis Museum, and our lunch at the restaurant located in the Monastiraki Flea Market area was fabulous. Paul,I just wanted to say thank you again to Jimmy for a marvelous day in Athens. (wish we had more time, but the cruise was only one day in port). Jimmy took us to all the big sites, timed it perfectly so we were able to see the changing of the guards, Directed us in where to eat and shop and his suggestions were perfect! When we got back on board, those who took cruise offered tours got to the guard area after the time they change and missed the whole thing. That was a big advantage to a private car/tour. Your son was warm and welcoming and his English was perfect. He was so knowledgeable about the history, mythology etc. My son who is 13 and going into 8th grade can't wait to take all he learned back to school in September when he is taking a class in Greek mythology. He will start off the school year way ahead of the others with all the things jimmy taught him. Our trip had 6 other ports and although we had good tours in all, my son and I both agreed that Jimmy and Athens were the best! I wanted to post on your testimonials but couldn't find a way to add to it, so feel free to use this letter there.

Hello Paul,We had a wonderful time in Athens and saw so much more in our short stay because of your wonderful son, Nick. He was a great guide with lots of local information. He picked us up at the cruise ship promptly and we had no trouble finding him when we got off of the ship. It was such a relief to see him there and ready for our day in Athens. He took us to a lovely local restaurant that allowed us not to eat at the usual "touristy" places. We were back at the ship in plenty of time and not at all rushed or harried from our day. I would recommend anyone who has only a day in Athens to use your service to get the most out of the day!!! The car was very comfortable and we felt very safe with Nick.

Dear PaulComing to Greece with a background in the history of religions, I had a demanding itinerary with some remote and less-visited sites (Brauron/Vravrona, Eleusis, etc.), but Paul and Fotis were more than able to keep up. In fact, they brought my attention to some excellent archeological sites that I would otherwise have missed. Rhamnus in particular was a treat: for such a well-preserved site it has very few visitors, which makes it a special experience. The driving was extremely convenient, timely, and quite comfortable, but more than that both Paul and Fotis made a special effort to show me aspects of contemporary life in Athens they felt that I would appreciate: a walk among the shops of Nafplion; wandering the picturesque streets of the resort town of Arachova; and two truly unforgettable lunches, near Delphi and Cape Sounion, among many fine dining opportunities. I’m already looking forward to planning another trip to the north and west of Greece, and wouldn’t think of doing the trip without Paul and/or Fotis as guides.

Paul,This is a belated email, I should have sent it after we arrived home, BUT as we were really worn out by our cruise, and had to get up to speed for Christmas things, I put it off until after the Holidays.
Our tour with you was one of the highlights of our cruise, we have marvelous pictures of the Parthenon, and other sights we saw. Having you speak english as well as you do, and understanding Americans as well as you do it was a very great tour. Some other guides we had were obviously NOT fond of Americans almost to the point of rudeness , although most were very nice. You do have a grasp of the important features in Athens, and probably all around Greece, though we didn't go with you to any place else. We always knew what to look for at each site we went to, and you explained the Changing of the Guard well beforehand. I'm sorry WE didn't find the Agora, as per your instructions but most of the others did, (Rick however didn't, but found a place to SHOP which was a highlight for him). My husband Mike took the time we didn't take, to get a fabulous photo of the church by the Cemetery City and also the very small Byzantine Church, so our time was NOT wasted at that stop. The Museum was a highlight also. Thank you for being such a good "Taxi Driver", and a guide also! Sent some Photos separately

We arrived safely in the U.S. and have been telling everyone what a wonderful time we had in Greece and how you were such an integral part of our good time. Your knowledge of the ancient sites, the Greek countryside, restaurants and hotels allowed us to see so much more than we could have by ourselves or if we had booked packaged tours. The Mercedes Benz was comfortable and sure footed through the mountains and your intimate knowledge of the mountain roads and driving skill made our travels relaxing and enjoyable.

My husband and I just wanted to say a big thank you to Jimmy for the airport pickups, the Delphi trip and the Sounion trip. He is really a delight and made our stay on Athens doubly memorable. Besides going out of his way to make sure I was able to get up to the Parthenon, (I had surgery on my leg) he was very concerned about our getting out of the Grande Bretagne on the day of the demonstration in Syntagma Sq. He had a backup plan, to park 2 stops away and come and get us on foot. This was very reassuring since the staff at the hotel told us it would be very dangerous. We left early and he took us around the Olympic facilities to pass the time until our flight.
We really felt he did so much more than he had to and we will be frever grateful for the peace of mind he gave us. Besides that, he's a great guide!!

Dear Paul:We had the pleasure of utilizing Paul's services during our recent honeymoon in Greece. Paul was waiting for us at the airport when we got through customs and took us our hotel in downtown Athens. I was immediately impressed with his new car and his command of the English language. The next day Paul took us on tour of Athens. How nice it was to have an air-conditioned vehicle waiting at the end of each stop in the city--it was 100F/40C that day. His knowledge of the city and Piraeus for our departure to the islands. Of the 11 times I've been to Greece, this was most pleasant taxi experience I've had. My son Benjamin and I regularly smile to ourselves when we think about the days we had with you taking us to the sites of ancient Greece, some well known, others far off the beaten path. We went to Greece for Benjamin, a graduate student in Classics, to get to know the country whose ancient literature he had been reading. He knew the sites he most wanted to visit, and you only took us to those, some of which we had to really search for, but also you suggested places we needed to visit of which we did not know. Furthermore, you enhanced our sightseeing by helping us understand the culture more intimately than the average tourist ever can. It is with great pleasure that I write this letter as a tribute to you and your services.I spent 2 weeks in Greece of which all or part of 8 days I was with Paul or in contact with him. He picked me up at the airport with a smile and delivered me to my hotel in Athens. My first impression was a well-dressed man in a clean car who spoke English very well, didn’t smoke and called me by name. He had maps, brochures, ideas and lots of general information about what I should do or see while in Greece. He was very helpful, informative and made me feel welcome from the start.Days 3-5, I was with Paul for an exciting and interesting tour of Olympia, Delphi and Meteora. He was very gracious along the way always being concerned about my comfort and my interests. Time schedules were flexible to suit my needs. He was patient and accommodating with me when I wanted to either stop or backtrack for photo opportunities. He even was the photographer a few times. He knew lots of information and kept conversations lively which made the 5 hour driving spells fly by. I teased him that I had set up an office in his back seat.I was joining a large tour group (600 people) back in Athens. One of our group’s excursions was to Corinth. When I shared with Paul the schedule for that day, he expressed a concern that I would not get to see much in the time allotted with so many people. He offered his services for that day and suggested that I find a few others in my group to come along. By this time, Paul had me spoiled with his high standard of personalized service, so I set off to recruit 1-3 companions in a group where I knew no one. In less than 24 hours, I had made such a great sales pitch that I had 7 folks lined up to go. Paul was surprised that I had worked so fast. As a delighted customer, it was easy.I highly recommend Paul to anyone wanting to make the most of their time in Greece. He loves his job and loves making his clients happy. I hired a taxi driver and left Greece with a friend!

We came to Greece completely "winging" it with nothing other than our reservation with you and a hotel reservation for the night we arrived. And if we had it to do over, we wouldn't change a thing. You are a fantastic ambassador and our feeling is that no tour of Greece could be (or at least should be), complete without your guidance. The ONLY REGRET WE HAVE is that we didn't have someone snap a photo of us with you, since you are sure to be one of our fondest memories. Best of luck to you friend, and may you always be safe.

We have just returned home after 3 wonderful weeks in Greece. I want to thank you for the wonderful tour to Ancient Sparta. Your tour was our very first activity in Greece. It was wonderful. You provided us with a great feel for Athens and Greece as well as the tour of Sparti. From Mistras castle to St Sophia monastery to the ruins of Ancient Sparta acropolis, we were constantly referring to our day with you with fond memories while on the rest of our tour of Greece. Believe it or not, the place you took us for lunch was one of the best we had in Greece. We knew more about real greek lifestyle than most of the people on our more formal tour. I even impressed our tour bus driver when I knew about the hidden camera taking pictures of speeders on the highway. All in all, our day with you was one of the highlights of our visit. We will look you up when we return to Greece to see more of your wonderful country. Efcharisto!

Several months have passed since our trip to Greece,and we have had time to reflect on how wonderful it was.I still cataloguing the 400 plus photos we took along the way, and i have enclosed a few of them here for your enjoyment. We would never have seen so many sites and sights without you as our guide.You did such a fine job putting together our itinerary.As we look at our pictures,we realize how much we squeezed into each day,and we know if we had done the driving ourselves,we would have gotten lost at every turn and we would not have seen half as we did.We enjoyed every single place we visited.We especially appreciated our trip to your farm and your mother's gracious reception and delicious meal.We also appreciate the time and effort you went to organizing our stay in the islands through the travel agent.Everything there went like clockwork (timely drivers,excellent accommodations). Not only do we appreciate everything you did for us,we had fun being with you.We hope and expect to return to Greece before too long.
